Angry rb exh. issues

i bought the rb exhaust system for my 82' 12a. they gave me 2 plates to block off open areas after i remove the air pump... i found one that i used the moon/trianglar shaped piece. but now i can't find the other spot i'm supposed this weirldy shaped one someone help me...

.... i removed the air pump but i don't see a spot to put the cover

those 2 circled things are the first plate that goes on the back of the manifold and then a red cap adn black cover is the other i didnt remove my acv but when u remove the airpump the plate should be a good size i gusse fist size which shouldnt be hard to miss unless im thinking of somthing else

Yeah, the big plate is for your ACV unit when you remove it (between the intake/exhaust manifolds).

Could this be my idle problem? I now own this guy's car, and have checked thoroughly for vacuum leaks and such. I would think that you would have to remove the ACV unit after removing the air pump, would you not? I've had to adjust the mixture so that the idle would go up and let the car run 'smoothly'. The car also has a miss, which I suppose can be attributed to a vacuum leak. I've already ordered the ACV block off plate, but am kind of weary because I'm used to nothing changing after I supposedly 'fix' a problem, only to have it remain after doing alot of work.
