RB 12 AT Header with MT?

Hey guys,

I am trying to plan out all the potential problems before I decide if I am going to do the Auto to 5 spd conversion. I've got a racing beat header and presilencer on the car right now, made for the Auto transmission models. question is, if I swap in an 83 manual trans is the header still going to work? I would think that the manual trans would be smaller than the automatic, thus the header would still be able to be used.

I just don't want to have to worry bout buying a different header if the trans swap is going to mean my current RB header doesn't fit. Anyone know for sure????

Anyone know?? Please help if you do! I'm probably going to be talking to a guy tomorrow about getting the necessary items for the transmission swap if the header isn't an issue.

The transmission is alot bigger in an auto than a stick........ so it should work... I dont see why it wouldnt unless the header goes by the crossmember....

You'll be fine. RB only lists one header for the 1st gen. One size fits all.

Excellent. Thanks for confirming guys. Both of those thoughts crossed my mind, but I wanted some of you more experienced guys to say the same before I continued on worrying about other things. Now on to worrying about the trans swap. THanks a bunch fellas!
