rattling front brake caliper.
i have an 85 base model. the front brake caliper has some play in it, and it rattles when i drive down bumpy roads and it clicks when i engage the brakes. the brakes still work fine, but its annoying as hell. i greased up the caliper pins hoping that might fix it. i havent driven it yet,but i hit the caliper and it made the same noise as before just not as loud. it appears the piston is returning to far into the caliper and not holding enough pressure in the pads when the brakes arent applied, or the pins are too small.
anyone had simmilar problems or have any advice for me. does the caliper need rebuilt, are the pins worn out, or should i just get used to it lol.

ahh thats whats missing. there are no clips on them. i thought it was strange they pads were just sitting there. i cant believe i didnt realise they were missing. looks like ill be making a trip to the junkyard tomorrow. hopefully that will fix it. the caliper is on correct, and it does move though. ill get the clips and report back.
