rats nest

the e.g.r. pump on my 81 was removed,so i was wondering if the rats nest and all that stuff still has any effect at all or is it just be something to cause me headaches.should i remove all that gear or leave it.

i say pull it, for two reasons. one, because ive heard talk of making it run better, and two, because it looks better. just an opinion.

i pulled my rats nest, and it deffinately doesn't run better. i think it looks 10 times better though.
