How about we ban ads in this forum, except for the good ole boys. That's what everyone else does.

 

So ads would be ok for anyone over say 800 posts.

 

How about this...For poll options

Allow ADS in the TECH section
Do not allow ADS in the TECH section
Do Not allow ADS in the TECH section, and ban those who do place them here.
Or
NO ADS in the TECH section or Rx-7 club members will hunt you down and throw acid in your face.

As stated earlyer if you absolutely need your ad in the tech section then just put it in your SIG...

 

I always thought the Idea of no ads was pointed to businesses. such as mazdatrixs racing beat and god forbid rotartyshack


point being if those guys wanna sell something on the forum they can pay for the advertising space.

As for individuals putting stuff on the tech section at least it give me a little extra to read when the forum gets slow. I dont really find the other sections of the forum that interesting or welcoming as the 1st gen section. 1st gen sales section is like the cold dark dungeon of the forum. But if you want you can pounce on and flame any individual that just pops up and says hey this is for sale.

 

I like the way it is now. Your not supposed to post for sale items but you do anyway and the we get to argue and create multipage threads. It is one of the more fun-to-read threads on the forum, today. Why ruin it by REALLY banning for-sale items. who would we vent on after that?

800 is pretty arbitrary. 700 on the other hand is a good, solid, all-American number.

I think they are saying that it should be okay to post for sale items in this section if you have at least X number of total posts.

 

Great arguements here, but I dont think anyone here actually buys anything anyways.

 

nah, we're all broke... just today i rigged up my air pump to open my aux ports.. cost me 8.99 and some holes via screwdriver into an old hose. =)

I sale a good bit of stuff, My wife just delivered two doors yesterday. last month bouis bought all my gsl-se change over stuff. Sold a set of calipers and some axles. and I have had 2 or 3 boxes show up at my place in the last few weeks. See my sig for stuff I still have, and there is lots to add to my site.

 

I can say that Matt is a real great guy to deal with: thorough, courteous, honest. I can't say enough nice things about him.

 

We should just have a sticky for parts/cars for sale that gets flushed every week or 200 posts, whichever comes first.

-We should do another sticky called "Bitch of the day".
Whoever has been The Bitch most each month gets stuck with an avatar for 3 months that the rest of us vote on.

Ya know, unless you're running @ 12.4 kbps and the power goes out alot on you and your computer is riddled with adware and pop-ups, I don't see what the big friggin deal is about posting **** for sale relavent to the FB.

I have more of an issue with huge signatures. I think an appropriate rule for huge sigs is that they have to be funny. Show us all of your photos, but there has to be a new joke listed each week with your car's performance parts list.

 

I will take that title this month if it will satisfy all of you, I didn't mean to be a bitch but I felt like it was starting to get out of control......

Did the super mods say anything about us making the sale forums a subforum?

 

Haven't read any of the thread but I think you should be able to put for sale items on here. No one really goes to the for sale section anyways. And sometimes you don't know you need something until you see the for sale add in the first gen section

 

Bah humbug...^ Read the thread... Maybe "no-one goes there" because they figure people are posting here instead...If no-one posted here the only choice would be to check the for sale section now wouldn't it..
