i have two daughters and a son..i unfortunatly completely understand...heck, my oldest daughter Isabelle even has a Rainbow Dash cell phone..the humanity...

Isabelle loves the engine's rainbow dash color scheme, while my son isn't crazy about it. i'm just curious to see how t will turn out when completed!

 

I think you could you make it work currently by using purple on the intermediate and leaving all others alone.
And break up the alternator is a good idea... It needs more silver IMHO. <- That H stands for Humble. I somehow thought I needed to state that in this thread.

Not a big fan of MLP, but I do like the colors. Keep it up!

DerrickS, yes I thought of that, to paint the intermediate purple and do kind of a reverse from there rearward, but ran out of parts to paint. Plus there's still a lot of green and blue visible on top.

Nah, I think the idea from last night is good. And yes it does need more silver here and there.

Check out the updated alternator. I think it has just the right amount of red now. The rest kinda looks like srce's shiny pants. Don't worry if you don't get the reference (it has nothing to do with ponies, which is probably a good thing).


As far as I got on the engine so far. All the aluminum parts are now redone. Gotta get to the irons next.


Looks good though. This engine is currently Lyra approved.

But this is supposed to be based on Rainbow Dash. Silly Lyra.

And I've got an update. Front plate is painted and just needs minor details now. The rear plate was cleaned and in the process of drying now; will get masked off and painted tomorrow. No pics until they're both done. Don't wanna spoil it. For now, enjoy this.

How are you going to do the purple eyes? Also, you need a vinyl decal of her cutie mark to put on your car's flank.

 

LOL. Figures, I quit checking the forum for one week, and Jeff starts a "My Little Pony" build. I love it. Like I always say, only in the 1st gen section would you see something like this.

 

The eyes are really more of a dark red. But yes I'll have to get some vectors of the cutie mark and take them to a printing shop that can do vinyl.

Not only in the 1st gen section but now in the lounge as well.

Is her cutie mark supposed to be bubbles like everyone says, or is it actually morning dew drops? Every pegasus in the show has some sort of weather related cutie mark, so I'm inclined to believe it's the latter. Dew/Doo? Well, we'll find out in season 2; they've given her a speaking role!
