Radiator recommendations needed!

Hello again guys sorry i have been away for while been working on a lot of stuff but i am back. I am trying to get my 79 rx-7 in shape for spring and getting the last little thing fixed. I need a new radiator since mine is leaking on the bottom of it. I looked up some threads trying to find some recommendations but they are all pretty old so starting a new one to get some new options! I have a budget and looking for one under $300 if i can thanks guys!

Well, obv there is the Chinese/ebay 3-core aluminums for $100-130, or the traditional brass 2 core "replacements" for under $300 (sometimes way under). Tempted by an aluminum myself for my 80...

RockAuto has what you need at a very reasonable price. I have one and it has worked
great for a few years now. Its the best radiator at the best price anywhere. Only $223.00.

I didn't even see that sorry! I usually use the search feature rather then looking through the pages and the old ones were only coming up. Yeah i was looking at the aluminium ones on ebay for under $200 and they didn't look that bad but after doing some reading you guys say they are no good? Yeah i saw the one on rockauto and it looks pretty good does it need any adjustments to make it fit in my stock 79 or will it be a perfect fit?

It will fit fine on your 79. There will be an extra hose pipe on the bottom for an auto tranny
cooling line but you can either cut it off or just ignore it since its not used on a manual car.

Just saw this one on advanceautoparts it is only $80! It looks almost just like the spectra radiator at half the cost. What do you guys think should i buy it or go for the spectra?

I saw the brand at other places selling for $200 plus so i am guessing it was just them clearing them out? But when i try to check out it is sold out oh well! Guess i am going with autozone for $164 shipped that is the best price since i don't really want a aluminum radiator.

I got a Koyo knockoff on ebay, not bad, but it took two tries, cause the first one arrived beat to hell, and it was like pulling teeth trying to get the seller to replace it. Aside from the purchase otself, I've been really happy with it. Made some custom bracketry and mounted a pusher fan in front of it. No fan clutch, and no shroud, and some RB silicone hoses makes for a very clean look

Sorry pasted instead of typing but I also have a Koyo. it seems to work well, and I read that heat was a major issue so aluminum radiators with more cooling is great. I think temps start around high 80s to low 90s or so with traffic.
