Racoon meets Kamei Air dam

Stupid big *** racoon came out of the ditch late last night right in front of me. There was oncoming traffic so couldn't do a thing , even if I had time .

CRUNCH ........ split and tucked the air dam I put on last year up under the rad . Had to pull it out and it broke off in two pieces .

I had just taken some pics about two hours before on a drive up to an old friends .

Good thing you don't live in moose country.

Let's hope the raccoon's family doesn't go in for revenge.

I'd have gone right under a moose with my RESpeed kit .

the UPside is the kamei saved my oil cooler and rad , that Coon was huge , guessing 50 lbs maybe and I hit it at 120 km / hr. ( 75 mph)

Maybe I'll ship it in two pieces to Shineauto Products so they can make a mold for FRP ones for a group buy for SA owners .....

On the next one you should buy this stuff called big gap filler, by "great stuff". can be found at ace hardware. Its a spray in foam insulation, and is good for filling in you bumper/ground effects. it can be shaped to size and fiber glassed over if you want to go that far. Its fairly rigid foam and should help strengthen it a bit.

I used this stuff on my GF's eclipse because the stock bumper was about 3 1/2 inches off the ground and I hid a raccoon going about 75 busted the radiator, but no body damage. that could be made to look good again. IMHO FRP is crap. I had an FRP body kit and it always cracked. little rocks busted up my hood, bumper, and side skirts all the time. I just flat blacked it because it was always getting chipped. It was an acculade kit from japan.

BTW don't let the foam get on your hands. you'll be trying to get it off all day. I finally found a pummis foot scrub did the trick.

LOL nice!
But the coon sucks........ I hit a deer the same summer I got my fb painted and then that winter I flipped it on a back road........ at least the car still drives! And with a 50lb coon at 75 mph you should have got some air off that one!
