You're only a day away.

So, will this make it any easier to turn the wheel? or will it feel the same in that respect, but have 0 slop?

I really look forward to the kit. Thanks for all of your work J Oliver, I can't wait until I have enough money for the kit! It's definitely the next mod.

Stage 1 you will have to supply a VW rack and U-joint only, everything else is included. $350.00 US shipped

Stage 2 comes with everything ready to be installed
$550.00 US shipped

This is all I can answer until the website is up. Once then I will be more able to accept all questions.
Please understand and thankyou to all for waiting.

~T.J.

PS - Id like to come see it in person, and maybe see what its like after its in, so if you buy one, let me know, Ill come help you install it or something .

Don't worry about the manual steering box. It is a pain to take off (I took mine off), and I want the rack and pinion kit now that it seems to be done. You can come over and check out my project whenever you want. email me and i will give you directions. I am expecting my impact wrench to arrive today, so i can finally take off my main drive pulley off the eccentric shaft. I have the instructions so I don't mess up the bearings and all.

Looks nice! Do you have any straight-on front pics? I'm curious to see what the ground clearance looks like.

Yes, and what about oil pan clearance? I assume the stock oil pan can be used.

*Starts Saving 550 additional dollars*

That u-joint looks way stonger than the old one. Good Job! Just out of curiosty, why did you crush the end of the tubes and then bend them to make the tabs that bolt to the frame insted of just cutting them off flush and welding them to a tab?

Can we get some bigger pictures? Ide like to see some close up shots of how the bracket is welded to the rack.

I believe that it's the stock VW U-joint. Same as always.

This all looks good and everything, and correct me if I'm wrong, but the only problem I can see with this whole setup is that it looks like all this is going to be in the way of the header. I'd wait on placing orders til he sets the engine down in there.

i am also interested in ground clearence, it looks sort of low.

But I must say fit and finish look good. So much cleaner than the Parrallel system.
