Can this be done. I am looking at adjustable camber plates (T3), but I currently hav racing beat spring.

I don't think it'll work, but I'm curious if it will. Do you HAVE to run the smaller diameter springs for custom camber plates?

(my mind says the diameter of those RB springs would not leave much room for movement/adjustment inside the strut tower itself) but I would be extremely happy if I were wrong.

it can be done, you just need a bigger upper spring perch. you are also right in thinking that with a big diameter spring you run out of room. the one i did was around -1 camber, which was perfect as it was a street car.
plan b is to get a small diameter spring in the same rate and length as the RB spring

 

bigger upper spring perch? as in cutting and welding on the strut tower? I can't find any pictures of this one the web.

I am thinking of getting these lower control arms to widen the track just a bit which should have the same effect on camber?

I have the RB lower control arms with the RB springs, so thats an option d.

 

If I read correctly the adjustable camber plates are only for use on coil overs they won't work on regular struts.....maybe I'm wrong🤷‍♂️

 

anyone know the O.D. on the oem struts from an FB?

not the inserts, the casing itself.....

 

if you change the diameter of the spring, you need to change the diameter of the thing it sits on, 34-340

Like you already figured springs larger than 2.5-inch coil overs will make the camber plates useless since you won’t have clearance between the springs and strut towers. Best to just bite the bullet and get the 2.5-inch springs, then you can have any length and rate you want for about $50 per spring.
