Racing Beat Rear Sway Bar Issue...

Hey guys,

So I finally got my FB on the road after Ive owned it for last 12 months and finishing it off after it was picked up half finished sitting in a garage for 5+ years!

So its got racing beat sway bars front and back and after 60 odd miles every bump the rear rattled through your body and after come home and hack up the car notice the below..

The drivers side 2nd bolt has cut its own (and bent the bolt mind you) slot in the watts link mount and also its rubbing on the rear of the pumkin also..

yes this was the assumption I come up with when speaking with 82transam also as it looks in wrong side up as some how I don't think racingbeat would engineer something to cover the oil plug in the diff house :|

does anyone else have any pics of a RacingBeat sway bar installed??

It's been 25 years but I think if you flip it you'll be good. I never had any issues. Always kept it loose.

Yeah after looking at these pics again (and on a bigger screen than my phone lol) I'm thinking flipping it will def help. I'm looking at their site and it looks like the bushings and straps that hold it to the rear axle are "taller" than the stock ones to lower it off the axle a bit (i'm basing this off their stock photo which isn't the best, but it looks that way), do you have those parts on yours? That could make a difference too.

Great looking car man! Even with those balloon tires on there

I can confirm that the RB "bushings and straps" are taller than the stock ones.

Yeah you've definitely got it on upside down, and your endlinks don't look long enough to me.
