Unhappy Racing Beat quality

Just wondering if anyone had had any bad experiences with RB products. I love my exhaust system. The only problem that I have with it is my muffler. From what I understand from what the told me is that the entire muffler is chrome dipped. Then the tips are taped off and sprayed black from the tips back. My problem is im guessing is when they taped the tips. Either the chrome is coming off or when they pulled the tape off it took the chrome off or something was left behind from the tape. Just looking for input from others.

i would think they would only chrome the tips to save money. it wouldn't make sense to me to chrome the whole thing then paint over all of it.

Im pretty sure thats the way they described it to me. It was easier that way that trying to dip just the tips. I could have it backwards. Either way mine look like Sh*t

so sand them and spray them to the way you like it. i've never heard of anyone complaining about the colour of their rb products. this is weird. you have one of THEEE BEST exhausts ever made and you're mad about the tips. lol

it looks identical to the pic posted on rb's website. or do you just want to see the tips coming out where the original muffler did?

this was all i could i could find of my car with the muffler on....

as for the tips and chrome deal i think they just dip the tips then put the cardboard rolls like a toilet paper end over the tips as they paint it..i had no signs of any tape residew on my muffler when i got it

I thought the tips were stainless. I have also noticed some have angled tips while others don't.

Mine looks the same as Eriks85Rx7. Chrome tips and black muffler. I think the tips are polished stainless because they don't rust. I think RB changed thier design somewhat because the newer mufflers have straight tips, while the older ones had angled tips.

They do put the cardboard tubes over the tips and then spray the muffler black, mine had overspray on the cardboard tubes.

they don't chrome the entire muffler. they probably just dip the tips and then spray paint it black to make a distinct line for the chrome. there is probably a little bit of chrome under the black paint, but not on the entire muffler

Thumbs up Good stuff

You might find some people who will say there are
parts that will out perform RB. But for reliability and
quality, can't go wrong with those guys.
