Exclamation Racing beat headers; quick question

Hey!
I was looking at racing beat headers, got a question.
Are they ceramic coated?
If not, are they stainless steel?
Are they good quality?
Please let me know!
Thannks!

they are the best quality you can get for our cars. They are so thick that rust will never be an issue. They are chrome plated, so that helps a bit, but rotaries run so hot it burns that off after a month or so. You'll be happy with them, go ahead and order it.

I had the chrome headers on my old car for 20k miles, and when I took them off they still looked really good. A little discolored, but nothing a little steel wool couldnt fix. I have since bought an SE that has had the full racing beat exhaust system on it since '96 and it is still in really good shape too. It has some surface rust now, but no leaks and it still sounds really nice.

Good quality, but could be designed better! For optimum performance the headers should extend 3 inches before bending towards the rear of the car. Their are better headers, but cost like twice as much!

What about underhood heat issues? Headers by nature are very hot, then add the fact that rotaries are even hotter...............Do you guys melt anything, or have underhood temperature issues?

I haven't had any trouble with heat yet, but I would recomend installing a heat sheid of some sort to keep the intake from heating up too much after you shut down the car. The heat tends to bake your carb causing gum buid-up.

Have RB headers/presilencers/mufflers on both my 7s. No rust & cool, throaty note. The best aftermarket you can find, IMO.

one of my friends had an issue not having his heat shild on his RB headers, him and his friends parked on the grass with all there 7's for a nice picture when one of them noticed that there was smoke coming from under the cars. Its funny to say that the rotaries were burning the grass cause they got soooo hot. so the moral of the story, if you got no heat shield then watch where you park, lol.

YEA!!!! I got my header in today!!! Can't put it on till monday or tuesday, but I have heard nothing but good things about them. Also I heard about some kind of insulation wrap that you can put on exhaust, anyone had any experience with this stuff?

DO NOT EVER USE EXHAUST WRAP ON HEADERS!
There is a very good reason that this stuff voids header warranties. It is not water proof, but will hold water next to the header, causing very accelerated rust!
This stuf is only usefull for drag racers who replace headers frequently, anyway.
I personally have had a set of quality headers fail in less than one year, and it was obvious the wrap was the cause.
BTW, painting the header and then putting the wrap on won't help either.
