Racing beat front sway bar bushings
Racing beat front sway bar bushings
I got a Suspension Techinques front sway bar a while back, and the fit really sucked. The bushings are huge and wouldn't fit into the original casings. I had to straighten the original casings out and bend them over the new bushings. They also had to be hammered in between the sway bar and the tension rod bracket.
Here's my question: I know that the Racing Beat sway bar is the same diameter. Are the Racing Beat bushings better? Does it come with new casings or does it actually fit into the originals?
Also, does anyone have any innovative suggestions for cutting down on squeaking? The grease it came with lasted an entire day. Now it's squeak city.

Well, a liberal coating of silicone spray (literally half a bottle) seems to have done the trick. Every bushing on the front end got soaked. I even sprayed the end links (maybe I shouldn't have?) It still squeaks when you push it all the way down, but normal and even "spirited" driving didn't produce any audible squeaks.
I still want new bushings and casings. Surely someone else besides me has installed an upgraded sway bar?
