quick question on compression

What is the lowest comp where I still can run-
my 82 won't start, been that way since I got it
shows and even 60psi on both front and rear
rotor- would that be the problem why it will not start
or should I be looking else where
its a 12a thanks

Anything below 80 psi is rebuild time. Pour a capfull of motor oil down each barrel of the carb then try pull starting it. Make sure your plugs, dizzy cap and rotor are in good condition

And make sure that 60PSI was with a rotary compression and not the Piston compression gauge.

Most likely its just flooded, which will result in a low compression reading. So many motors and cars have been junked due to this it is incredible.

Grab a can of Seafoam, and dump an ounce or two down the smaller barrels of the carb. Crank her over and chances are she'll fire right up (ignore the smoke cloud, that's just the seafoam). Good luck...
