Quick question about main jets

12a 1983 GSL.

In the photo I've got my 4 main jets. Two are brass and two are silver colored. Which ones are the primary jets and which are the secondaries or does it make a difference?

Thanks!!

Couple of other questions

Parts 94 and 93 are part of the richer system but I don't seems to have them. I've got a 5-speed so shouldn't these be in there?

This part refuses to come out. Any advice?

These are out of the float bowls right? If you took a pic with the turned over we
could actually read the sizes and be sure. The smaller jets will be the primaries.

You can try tapping it with a hammer while trying to turn it. Some folks have impact
drivers that do this well. Looks like the slot is getting pretty buggered up tho.

Why are you tearing your carb down?

To answer your question about jets, the nickel plated ones are secondaries. Look at the precision drilled holes. Some will be bigger than others. It is obvious the bigger ones are secondaries. If in doubt, look at the venturi sizes and let that be a guide.

And why are you stripping the carb as much as you have? What possible motivation is there? Would your goal be to hog out the venturis or something?

That flat head screw is part of the accelerator pump system. I wouldn't mess with it unless you see a problem with the accelerator pump not working. Its pretty obious if it doesn't work; no fuel will come out when you twist the throttle.

I think I figured it out: brass = primaries, silver = secondaries. Seemed to fit with the air bleeds to.
I took all this apart to rebuild the carb since before I bought the car it sat around a lot. Also, I thought there might've been a problem with the accelerator pump. With the help of the factory service manual though I think I'm on the right track.

Tomorrow, I'll put it back on the car along with reinstalling my rats nest with new hoses. Wish me luck!
