Arrow Quick question?

I need to change my fuel pump tommorow morning but i don't know what to use to plug the fuel lines while im taking the pump off and putting on the new one....what should i use?....

well if you have time to get the pump line off before all the fuel drains outa the line, stuff a bolt in it.

yeah your right about that....but i have a full tank of gas in there so i dont want to waste too much....i dont mine spilling some i just want to plug it just for a little bit till i replace the old pump.....anything else i can use beside just a bolt.....

Well if your really bold put alit cigarette in it,LOL That would be one way to stop smoking.
Just kidding. They make hose pinch of pliers or adjustabel clamps, you can also use some
vice grips. rx7doctor

Not if you wrap the hose in cloth first to keep it from pinching thru. rx7doctor

Any autoparts store should sell locking hose pinching pliers, which are designed exactly for this purpose. Just squeeze the handle and the hose is pinched shut and the pliers stay locked down until you pull the handles apart. I forget what they cost but, whatever it is, it beats the hell out of getting doused in gasoline.

i am looking at the manuel right now...it doesnt look like its too hard to change the pump it self......am i right?

It's **** easy. Disconnect the hoses and undo a few bolts and that's pretty much it. The electrical connector is inside the car. On Aussie car's it's under the back seat so I guess it would be under the storage bins for you guys.
