quick mikuni question: trumpets and omp

I got me a nice mikuni 44phh for my stock port 12a
What size trumpets are recommendable?

How to connect the oil metering lines?
My guess is that i have to put tubes in here:

How far does the tubes have to stick through?

Yes, i know it is red

every mikuni I've ever seen, including mine, has had 50 mm trumpets.... BUT you'll have to clip them a bit to fit an air cleaner on it. as for the omp lines.. you are correct you can ad barb fittings in those spots.. but it's even easier to tap the manifold, with less chance to damage something, and worse case sceneraio you could run pre-mix. I would also recomend using some air craft stripper to take that paint off. The paint may trap in heat, and with an already hot engine bay on a hot summer day I could se vaporlock possible. JUst my .02. Anymore questions you can shoot me a PM.
