Quick Help!

On the weber 45 DCOE, which jets make the car run richer, 65f9 or 55f9? (idle air jets) My car runs really rich, and i'd like to get it fixed before i leave in like 30 min!

An airjet with greater bore will make a leaner fuel:air mixture than the airjet with smaller bore ( if all other variables are static ).

How's that for a politically correct answer ?

UH... If the 65 has a bigger hole in it ( and it is for air ) than the 55, then I would venture to say it would be leaner.( more air equals a lesser fuel percent )

Dude, you really need Carl or Sterling or Jeff to help you with some for sure info.

They'll be like
"Oh, Is that the 65f9 with the rectumfrier notch or the stock fop ?" or

"You got the 55f9 ? Everybody knows the f series sucks. The e's work perfectly. Any size ( as long as it's an e ) will rock for you."

Just listen to them. Whatever they say, dude.

The idle jet controls the amount of FUEL for the idle/progression circuit. The 1st number (ie. 55,65 etc) refers to the diamater of the orrifice in 1/100ths of a millimeter. That means a larger number will allow more fuel through which means the mixture will be richer. The idle mixture can also be fine tuned by the idle adjustment screws.

Carl and Sterling are definately experts when it comes to Nikki's but I don't think either of them have much experience with Webers.
