Just bleed it out like you normally would. Pump the pedal, hold it down, open the fitting, close it, repeat.

It is recommend to bleed any air out of the system. If there is any, and there probably is, it will interfere with the hydraulic performance of the system. I don't know about a "power" bleed but you can bleed the system at the slave cylnder with the bleeder valve just like you would bleed brakes. If you've never done that you should find someone who has and get them to help you. It's much easier with 2 people, but it can be done with 1 if you have the right tools.

Having just suffered through this - my suggestion is that you remove the slave to bleed it but keep all hoses attached and tight. Attach a C-clamp such that the piston does not come out and RAISE the slave to the highest level of all hoses/hard lines. Then you should be able to get the air out without too much trouble and you will get some pressure to push the air out of the nipple. Don't push too hard, you don't want the clamp working its way off.

You then can do this with yourself and no helper - just crack the nipple a bit and watch for the air in the clear hose that you have attached . I tried doing this with the unit on the bellhousing but never could get the air out. When it comes time to install, just push the piston in enough to allow the unit to go back in to proper place. Be real careful about how much you tight en the bolts - mine has 1 stripped one...

Grab a bottle of cold heineken. Take a big gulp. Connect a hose to the slave cylinder's bleender nipple. Take another gulp. Grab the end of hose and submerge it in beer. Bleed it as they stated above. Continue to bleed it until you no longer can see bubbles inside the bottle.

OH WAIT, use buttweiser or coors light instead. Dont waste a good beer.

If you bench bleed the master, prior to install, it makes the bleeding process easier.

Wacky. will you stop giving away all of our old school tips. Now everyone is going to go out and buy new slave cylinders just so they can get drunk. Then they will have the excuse that they kept seeing bubbles so they kept drinking.
