Quick Claification on SE to GSL swap

I will be completing the swap this weekend and wanted to make sure there is nothing I'm forgetting. I will be swapping the engine and the exhaust. The tranny in the GSL is in better shape so I will keep that one. All I need to swap is the engine, ECU & computer harness(passenger side), Oil cooler & 83style 3 core rad, and exhaust. I cant think of anything else that I will need to swap from the SE that my GSL doesn't have engine and powertrain wise. I will not be swapping the suspension its being left in the car we are going to BP the 12A from the GSL and make it a ITA car. Anything else you guys can think of?

The SE has 2 extra fusuble links for injectors and engine, and the fuel pump and lines are different. All rubber hoses ned to be converted to FI rated line, along with the style of hose clamp. No worm drive clamps.

yea but the 13b is 13??mm longer. you'll need to slot the holes if you want to just drop it in. .....or bend up the engine mount bar.

10MM per rotor longer. 20MM longer overall. Converts to .7874".

So yea, need to slot the brace ~3/4"

Okay I have the engine almost all the way in there but the only thing I cant make any sense of is the electrical and the ECU stuff do I have to take the whole harness all the way around the car and under the dash or just hook up the cables to the ECU? Do I need the main relays that are connected to the fusable links? what other relays do i need an how much of the wireing harness do I really need?

the ecu doesn't do a whole lot on the carbed cars, aside from emissions the only thing i can think of is that the fuel pump will now come on with the key. i beleive you can leave that unplugged and retain a lot of the stock features.

the plug isn't similar on the SE ecu?

Well after looking through the wiring diagrams and checking through everyones T2 write ups im not sure how anyone has gotten there engine working without taking the whole entire wireing harness that wraps the whole car. So unfortunatly that is what I will have to do. So just in case anyone wants to do some reasearch on how to do the swap they can read that it is not as easy as everyone says it is.

Yea the plugs are the same and the ECU plugs directly to the engine harness but it pulls power and stats from the harness that runs under the dash itself. so I have just completly wasted 2 days rushing to get a car back together when I have to pull the whole interior and wireing harness from the other car. But its cool I will get it done will update eveyone when I get it all complete.

for that plug all of us just get one with cut wires and splice into it.

you only have to run...8 wires or something? CAS and coil wires.
