Question on wiring

What could I do with all the leftover wiring from the rats nest removal and new intake/exhaust? I want to get rid of them completely, but not ruin the engine. I am guessing I will have to hide it, and there is no way to remove?

You can get rid of all that wiring, the harness is on the passenger side near the firewall. I think there's a couple sensor wires you still need, but if you stirp off all the black tape you can see where the wires go and just cut off the ones that don't go to anything.

yeah what he said, i took ALL the black tape off and found every single wire i didnt need and snipped it. Make sure if you snip them, you wrap them up, but what i was able to do was pull the wires right out of the harness itself.

Youl find that you need to cut off a couple extra ground wires too, there is a large ground wire that runs all the way through it with links. (black) After you have completed all this, rap it up again with black tape and then use some of that plastic tubing to cover the rest.

For what i can remember, you need a white connector out of the series for the alt, one for the oil pressure, one for a temp gauge on the block, and a couple more. Not too too many tho. you will also need a selenoid for the throttle adjuster if you plan on keeping your AC.

If you gents spent time in the electrical section of the FSM, it shows how to de-pin the wires from the connectors and not cut them. Not only is it neater and backwards compatable, you don't need to tape off the cut ends.

Yeah, I forgot about that, even though I took the pins ouf of my harness after I had cut 1/2 the wires. There's a little tab that holds the connector inside the harness, a t-pin or a needle works good to push in the tabs so you can pull the connector out of the harness.
