Question question on manifold porting

I ordered the steet carb from Paul Yaw and I also sent him the intake manifold, which I did not know the price of the poting on that , so I sent him an email asking how much of a difference it would make considering its an exta $175 on top of the $340 for the carb- anyway he said the difference was "substantial" but thats it, no hp numbers- I was wondering if you guys had any expericene with this, my car is stock (GS) and I may buy a ported 12a in the future- thaks

When you port, get a new carb and intake.
While the Yaw carb is good, once you port your engine, you're gonna need more.

Your talking just about just porting the manifold, right?

yes, the engine isnt ported, it may be after mine goes and im forced to buy another, but I dont think the manifold will make a huge difference at this point, but I may just get it anyway- might as well do it right the 1st time
