Question for anyone who has the rear RE-Speed coilovers

Since Re-speed is out of business, I've been looking at what could be purchased 'off-the-shelf' to get the same adjustability. There are plenty of sources out there for 5 inch spring perches with a threaded collar, but they all appear to be intended to set and spot-welded.

How do the Re-speed perches lock into place? Do they have set-screws like the fronts? Pictures would be great, if you have them.

Thanks!

I dont have pics but they dont have set screws, the nature of the threads are such that they dont tend to move once the weight of the vehicle is on them.

I believe this setup could be easily replicated with off the self parts. I found some online at a website that supplies circle track racers and the pictures appeared to be the same parts. Sorry but I cannot remember the name of the place.

These look quite similar and were the parts I was hoping would work.

I don't have the respeed setup but they are similar to what you have posted from summit. also don't have a rocking collar. Mine fit over the bump stops and stay in place. only issue with mine is that I need longer springs (I believe I have 7in long springs and need slightly longer so if anyone knows where to get springs, let me know).

You can get springs from summitracing.com. That's where I was looking at getting mine. Respeed supplies 8-inch springs, or so I thought. Why do you need longer springs, does it ride too low?

Thanks, never checked out summit for the springs. But yes, I'd like to raise the rears a bit and the adjusters are nearly maxed out.

Edit: just realized the response I originally sent was meant for another thread, guess that's what happens when I have too many tabs open. Sorry! If Mods or someone could delete this post that'd be great

I remember Billy referencing circle track race parts as some of the source for his ideas on parts and such.
