Question about front end noise
It's one of those things I had neglected to take care of until now. I always get a "roaring" bearing noise when I turn left which goes away when I straighten the wheel. Thought it was the wheel bearing, no big deal. While I was getting my brakes done I asked my mechanic to repack the front bearings. He told me the inner ones were ok but the outer ones could be replaced which I asked him to do. The problem is I still have the same symptoms. What else do I possibly need to look at? He mentioned one of the rear ones is bad also but the darn noise comes from the front end.
Would appreciate any thoughts on the subject, thanks.

Make sure the wheel nut is snug and that there is no play in the wheel when the car is lifted. Just shake it from side to side. If there is play then you need to tighten some more. I have my bearing replaced and when I drove I heard that loud noise when I turned, I tightened up the nut and it is nice and quit. I think the problem is that they may have not pressed the bearing in all the way and when I drove it started to lossen up.
