question about the battery cables

what gauges is the stock battery cables? i have 4 gauge cable right now and seems not enought i was thinking to get a 2 gauge wire but i dont know if is too overkill, another thing too that i ask this is because i have the battery on the back of the passanger side seat. thanks

Go to a place that specializes in Batteries/Alternators/Starters. They should be able to advise you best.

I think the stock cables are a 2 gauge for the + and 4 for the ground...?

I upgraded to a 1 gauge for the +, and I'm replaceing the stock ground with a grounding kit (4 ga I think)....

stock most likely would be 4 for 4, there's no reason ANY cable should have a smaller ground than it's positive.

Also where are most people purchasing their grounding kits, and at what points are they being grounded to?

E-Bay...
Battery Neg terminal to the grounding block I intalled on the strut tower. From there to the firewall, Engine block, alternator... That all so far...
