quarter pannels. sa vs. fb

what is the difference between sa and fb quarter pannels? i think that the front end of them are slightly different (due to the different fronts) but is the rest the same?

whats the quarter panel have to do with a windshield?

The only difference in the rear quaters is the cutout where the tail lights go.

I have replaced a full quarter panel on a rx-7. The quarter goes behind the door includes the door striker, wheel well, goes behind the 1/4 glass, angles backward to the rear and includes 1/2 of the tail light assy.

i have one lying around from my 79, and want to know if it will fit my 85 for test purposes (to make sure that the frame is nice and straight)

The front fenders of an SA have a completely different front profile - they roll under sooner and don't descend as far down in front, and have depressions for the SA bumper as opposed to the FB bumper cover.
