Puzzled by stereo problem..

Well, I installed a factory deck with equalizer in my 84 and I am having a problem with no sound coming from the front speakers. I have hooked up all of the connectors properly and have checked them over. I still have no sound from the front speakers. Rears work fine. Could this problem be related to the factory amps? I am stumped...

you test the stereo? insure the cables to the speakers are connected properly (from the speaker itself all the way to the stereo)and check it again.

The factory amps (in my 85 SE) live in the storage bins and so are likely to get wet over time. Take out your bins and make sure you dont have a loose ground or corrosion on one of the amps. The SE stereo wiring has alot of little oddities like the joystick which could go bad and be a source of your problem.
