pusher fan

Anyone here running a pusher fan that came factory on another car?

I dont really want to order and pay shipping on some over priced aftermarket fan. So i have been searching for a pusher fan around 16" that I can find in a junk yard. I know most German cars (bmw, Mercedes, ect.) came with pushers. But i cant find cfm ratings on any of them.

If anyone here knows what model and year car to pull one from, that woukd be a huge help.

Search Taurus fan. I picked up one a while back, not the infamous two stage one, but off a 3.0 I believe. I had it on my car for a little while and it moves some air, not sure of the CFM though, but I just took it off to fix unrelated electrical issues.

It can be used as a pusher or puller, just depends which wire you set as positive and ground.

Normally, puller can be converted to pusher by switching the lead wire BUT you have to flip the fan blade also.

You don't have to flip the fan blade. They say you do, but you don't. Even in some fan instructions it says to flip it, and I tried it once. Made zero difference.

Explain why a symetrical fan blade would benefit from being flipped.

Ditto on the Taurus Fan we use it on our Rock Crawler and I plan on getting one to use as a pusher for the Chumpcar as well.

I have used the taurus fan in the past. Im looking for something smaller. i dont want such a big power draw since I'm using a small battery.

The fans i have used are curved in one direction, so they are not symetrical. But i guess its a 5 minute job to flip the blade and wire it in backwards to run as a pusher. But the reason I'm looking for an actual pusher is i dont have any spare fans right now. So if im going to buy one, why not buy a fan that is already a pusher...
