I hear alot that a stock motor stops pulling good at around 6k. Mine pulls hard all the way till I shift at 7k or better. I just shift cause I don't want to blow it. Is this not normal? I don;t think there was been any engine work done but the car is a little Fankinstienish.

a stock ported 12a motor with a tuned intake and exhaust typically makes peak hp in the 7000-7500 range.

revving it over that you won't make any more power; you're just spinning the motor.

 

That sounds about right. I don't feel like it's still building but it's not falling flat either.

 

yea, on the dyno my peak hp was at 7600rpms. this was before i even had half the mods in my sig. basically only had the rb header and full exhaust.
