Thanks. I haven't seen the magazine yet, but my editor just contacted me about sending me copies.

The 1st installment of the rotary engine porting article is going to be in the following issue. After seeing my preliminary work, they asked me to break it into two parts. The first part is more theoretical and explanatory, while the second part will be a hands-on demonstration of porting an actual engine. I have to get them some cover artwork on Monday.

If you really want to see a porting article written by me this month, you will have to look into SubieSport, where we did the heads on a 2.5RS.

Do you think they would mind if I scan and post the article?

I have never heard of this mag! How much is a subscription and is it worth it?

Mazdasport is the old Miata Magazine, renamed and refocused after the RX-8 came out to include all Mazda vehicles. It is read by over 60,000 mazda owners and a free trial issue goes to every new owner of the Miata, RX8 and Mazdaspeed series cars. It is published 6 times a year (bimonthly). My buddy Ryan Douthit (owner of SubieSport and Driving Sports) recently purchased the magazine and is dedicating a lot of content to rotaries. Every month, I am told, I will have an article of one sort or another (project car, tech article, etc). This is basically the same job I had with Driving Sports magazine, before the print publication morphed into SubieSport and the Driving Sports became a video magazine.

I had to purchase a subscription. The way I see it is if I am going to spend money on a subscription to Porsche Excellence without owning a Porsche, I better have a subscription to an all Mazda magazine as well since I own two RX7's.

I have all the issues of Miata Magazine... I know it had a lot of issues over ownership changes and things like that a few years back. I didn't continue my subscription once it changed names but it looks like I'll have to add it back to the list and pick up the issues I've missed inbetween. Glad to see its still going strong.

Blake, what issues has your car been in there? I just got a GSL-SE I'm starting to restore and it might be nice to see some inspiration. Your car looks great.

It is a great magazine. Been a subscriber for a few years now. The Leno articles have been well done, nice variety of topics and I'm looking forward to the GSL-SE articles.
