Question Proper coolant temp?

I'm hoping to find out the proper target coolant temp for a rotary engine. I have installed an adjustable thermostat for my e-fans and am not sure at what temperature I should have them turn on.

The temperature probe is located on the back of the radiator, so the activation temperature is based on coolant temp, not engine temp. I know that its set too low right now, but I don't want to turn it up until I have a good idea what my target should be.

Thanks...

Yeah, figure out your "normal operating temp" (where your gauge sits in normal driving) and have the fans come on slightly above that.

180 degrees! Adjustable thermostats cost around $30 or so. I have the Flex a lite adjustable. You have to have a electric fan to use one.

I got my thermostat control for 18 bucks at Autozone. Seems to work just fine. They have another model that they tried to push on me for $34.00, but the only difference was an accomodation for A/C...
