Ahh I thought it was some kind of name for a muffler. My bad. I even think I have amagnaflow sitting somewere in the garage. I had it on wen I had a 13b N/A engine and I took it off because it was too loud. But with the Borla and magnaflow together I might think it will be allright.

Good friend of mine bought the Corksport 3-1/8" single for his S4 TII. It was obnoxiuosly loud and insert that came with it killed the power, still sounded like ***. He installed the XR-1 as a pre-silencer, it sounds sweet now. One of the best notes I have heard.

Won't fit, it's made for the 2nd gen TIIs. By the time you buy it and add the Borla, the price is near 800 bucks. For 1/2 of that you can buy a Borla, Magnaflow and have a 3" system made up. It won't be ss though.

Question about fuel tanks. Since this is a GXL is this fuel tank outlet ok. I am running a Walboro 255, with -6an lines and Aeromotive FPR. I am having hessitations at 5000 rpm. Things I have not done yet are spark plugs wires, ground and spark plugs.

No it's not ok. You have three options. You can either put a surge tank in, swap in a GSL-SE tank or graft a 2nd gen. in-tank assembly to your fuel tank.

Thanks. That answers that question. I might go with just adding a surge tank. Since I problebly wont find a GSL-SE tank.

Latest on my project. Changed Turbo from stock to Turbonetics Hybrid, 3" Racing Beat down pipe to Borla XR1 center and a rear SS MagnaFlow, and its in the paint shop. Here are some pictures. Feel free to give inputs.

Thanks
Juan

Mazda wouldn't make a top mount if they knew it was going to overheat. It will heat soak though, if there's no hood scoop for direct air into it.

Very very nice. Did you sort out your fuel tank problem yet? Add a surge tank? And if so what is your setup?

I am almost done with the long lasting proyect. This car has been in prosses since 2004. Lots of hard work, reading, serching, spending and making sure the wife understand that this is it. Today I had a shop mount the tires that had been siting in the guarage for the past 2 years and I finally took the car for a spin. Including the wife so she could see how much work we put in this together. So I took her to the movies and then drove arownd a bit. Got together with a Audi TT just playing with it but since I dont like racing on the streets I let off. I had a bad accident racing on with my first 88 RX7. So now I will only race on the track. But this is almost it. All I need is the seurge tank, dyno, and maybee the track to see how it will do.
