Project Sa 95% complete,update.
Well, Member Kory_yahi car is almost done. Took it out on it's test drive today. This car last ran on back in 1999.
For you Sa guys. I once posted about whether a RB header and presilencer from a 81-85 fb would bolt up to the stock connecting pipe and muffler on a Sa. The answer, yes with the following adjustments. 1). You have to drill out (enlarge the holes) on the Sa connecting pipe where it joins the presilencer. 2). You have to remove the f ollowing hangers. The one at the rear of the connecting pipe and the one thesupports the front of the muffler. You leave the rear muffler supports in place. You do have to bolt the header to the presilencer first before you attach it to the engine. And i had to leave the bolts loose at the presilencer to the header in order to get the outer attaching nut at the presilencer on. Other then that it will work.
Also had to fabricate a throttle cable bracket and throttle stop that took hours to do for the Mikuni. I used a bracket off a FB carb and modified the crap out of it. Have to modify the cold air box that came with the carb setup to fit. The rectangular air fiter assembly that came with it will not fit on the 12a. The carb was run on a 13b. Will need to move the alt forwared somewhat to make it work.
Besides the springs being a bit stiff for my taste, the steering box is extremley responsive and the sumitomo HTR's stick very nicely.
Will post more pics tommorow after i cure some of the probs.

Kentetsu, how's it going? More pics will be up later. Had started another thread previously with other pics. Car came with lowered and stiffer springs. Has Kyb shocks on rear but do not know what struts? Came with aftermarket sway bars front and rear. The steering box must have been overhauled because it is very responsive.
It has the 2 piece Rb manifold on it and sits lower then the 1 piece which i am used to. This is causing problems with mounting a filter system. Othen the things listed and a holley FPR and pump she's stock but clean under the hood.
I will post some before and after pics shortly.
Also need someone as stated in my previous thread yesterday to tell me how to remove the speedogear from the trans. As stated in my previous thread the FB's just unbolt and pull out. This one on the Sa unbolts but will not come out?

Looks like the Sa alt took a hike so it's time to update with a FB one. Also will post pics here also of driver door panel needed or a pair of door panels in excellent shape that will match the pics of the interior. Also need the passenger side door molding and fender molding that is pictured missing. Posting pics of before, during and after. Pic of mikuni bracket that i fabricated was a PITA.
