OK Project "revive the goddess"

Hey all,

Just wanted to get some tips and what-not of my next project. Want to know, from others experience, of what I'm getting myself into.

this project is mostly so I can get hands on experience with rebuilding a car. Have book knowledge but never done most of the work involved.

Back story:
I bought this 7 (84 gsl) when I was about 15... Needless to say I had no idea of what I was doing. I got the car for $300 because the starter would crank and never stop cranking. So I just wired it to where I touched the two wires together to start it. Also, the car was in not so great condition interior wise, ran like a dream though. Now that I'm a little older and actually have a bit of money I wanna save the car when I get back from deployment.

Things I see that need fixed:
I plan on doing this "all out." Want to restore it to prestine stock condition. (well mostly stock)

Front fenders - The owner before me retardedly installed new ones and when he shut the doors... Fenders folded where it's closest to the door. Simple replace

Heater/AC system - My fault here... Gutted the system. And... When removing the ac I bent some heater tubes and now my heater coil I sat in my engine bay... For... I dunno what reason. (young and dumb like I said)

Motor - motor ran great last time I drove it. But that was about 6 years ago. Plan on using seafoam or a complete rebuild if I have to.

Tranny - current tranny has maybe 2000 miles on it so I'm good I hope.

Chassis - was mostly rust free... Hoping it's still good.

Gauges - gauge clust is jacked. Will be replacing.

Interior - interior sucks. Redoing all of it as well as sound proofing or w/e it's called.

Exhaust - need to redo all of it. Yay rust!

Besides that the car is decent. Anything that I'll probably run into while doing this? Or anything you can see from pics?

A lot of potential and it'll be a beautiful car when you get it fixed up. Doesn't get any better than white with a red interior!

Actually i'm thnking of ditching the interior and going for leather. Still undecided on the interior color though. Thinking a dark red with white highlights though.

Exterior is definetely staying white though.
