Looks like i am not the only Rx-7 v-mount that i know of now in Washington. Looks awesome, I see the mistakes i made were taken care of.

Damn Z that is an amazing car and one hell of a setup I so wish I could build that kind of a car but unfortunatly life wont let that happen at this time ..... (kids way better than 7ns) but hey what can you do. Anyway I was thinking that doing the stacking Rad/oil and placing the IC far to the front of the car with some directional tin or aluminium between the IC and rad would produce some nice temps. Any thoughts on that closest pic I could find was this something similar in placement.

You know the setup as shown has been proven multiple times from people in all different climates. As mentioned above Directfreak runs that setup all year round with no issues. Initially I had my setup similar to this. However my intercooler was actually set closer to the radiator. I did not intend on running AC so I did not have to worry about all the components that were there.

Before I dicided on going h-mount I actually also contemplated doing a air splitter idea. I thought about having 2 splitters, one directing to the IC and the other directing to the rad. Only issue with that(and it is not even that huge) is that the air flow wold be flowing vertically. Sure air coming through the IC would help push some of that air toward the rad. To try and solve this problem I contemplated putting fins on the ducting. This would allov the air to be directed towards the components.

The main reasons that I decided to go with this setup is because I like to make sure that I am as efficient as possible. I have a fair amount of money wrapped up in this swap and why short change it now? Also I like to be different, I like to tread my own path.

Hey don't give up, those kids will grow up eventually and or you will score a great job that will allow you to build your dream machine. Plus kids are a great asset to have.

Thanks for the nice comments.

Looks really nice man!

How do you plan on finishing off that hood, you are going to get a few hours in the wind tunnel to make sure its right aren’t you?

You know I could probably score a few hours in the Boeing wind tunnel if I pulled a few strings. Not worth it though. I might do some of my own "in home" testing though of the entire car. I am curious as to what the fluid flow around the vehicle is like.
