Time to update this some more I guess. Finally got the wheels done! You can read and see more about that here:
https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/painting-my-new-rims-my-big-brake-kit-d-827453/
Also put the wheel studs in the axles, Put the new bearings and bearing brace for the front hubs (What a pain in the *** they are ... you should look up the write up on mazdatrix website). Tomorrow I should be painting my new calipers red, and also painting my hubs. From there on whenever the pads come in I'll be able to finally toss all the big brakes on

1991 ford ranger:
(I've become very informed about this generation ranger(mine is like my child)) mine is an stx version, the rims you bought came from a 91-93 explorer(first generation) or a 91-92 ranger stx, however if you get bored with these tires rangers, explorers, and mustangs all have the same lug padern. hope that helps a little bit

Well finally got the rear brakes installed!!! Only took 3 days lol. At first I had to wait for a new oil seal to come in for the rear end because they sent in the wrong one. Secondly the nut off the calipers ebrake mechanis wasn't fun to deal with, I had to take it back to the place that I had them rebuilt to get it off. A bit of heat and a good impact wrench got it off though, then lastly today I was hoping to just go outside bleed the brakes, and fill out the diff again with new oil, but turns out that the one fitting was stripped, so I had fun taking it out and putting a new one in.
I'll get some pictures as soon as it stops raining but look good overall. The car doesn't dive as much with the bigger rear brake and stock front I just hope that these wheels fit in the front because i don't think I have that much more room. Maybe 1/2"...

Nice work! Sounds like you've had some adventures I've got my fingers crossed for your front wheels fitting, mine were quite tight but just OK hehe :-) So long as there's more than a couple of mm clearance, should be ok!

So just for the heck of it yesterday, I decided to take some decibel readings
Intake noise: 112DB
Idle Muffler noise: 94 DB
7k rpm noise: 121DB
Look like i'm really shattering some ears there lol ... This is right at the tip too so I don't know how it would of been say 10Ft away or so. Either way that Magnaflow in the end is blow and in need of repair like the Borla that I had.

Well the clutch is out and time for a new one. The old clutch was the XTD, i did over 100 laps with it, 2 drag event, and 1 autocross ... for 149$ its not that bad. This time I spent a little bit more money, and going with a bully clutch stage 3:

You guys might of not of heard of them as they're a Canadian company, but guys that have used them say they're better than ACT, Exedy, and centerforce. Plus they give you pretty much no hassle for any warranty issues supposebly. I know of a few guys that had them in their cars for over 3 years and still going strong.
I'll be getting the 6 puck btw to make it a bit more driveable than the 4. Total price of that was 610$CA including taxes (13%). For you US guys that works out to be a bit over 500$ for it.

well the old clutch is out and the new one is in. What a world of difference .. I've already stalled my car quite a few times lol ... Almost doesn't allow any slip off there. Pretty nice but don't think that parking will be quite that nice lol.
The old XTD on the other hand, can't say too many good thing about how that looks. There's some chunks missing, the pressure plate has tons of heat marks on there ... I'll let the picture do the talking when i take some pics tomorrow.

Today was a great day! call a call in the morning from the post office to come and pick up my long anticipated rims !!!! Went and picked them up and first thing that i noticed was how light the box was. It was actually so light that I had to open a box an double check that there was something in there lol ... sad but true. Anyways will get some weight figures tomorrow along with some pictures hopefully.
I won't have any rubber mounted on there till I come back from vacation though. I'll be driving the 7 to zoom-fest in georgia, and then going to florida and meeting up with Jimmy the owner of fuji racing, along with checking out the scenery

You need to get your interior back together before you get down there. GET ON IT!! I've been bugging you for nearly 2 years to put it back together. Take lots of pics, sorry I couldn't come too.

Well I weighed the rims and they came perfectly where I wanted them! 12.5lb according to my bathroom scale. For 15x8 thats pretty darn light. Hopefully all the measurements are corrects and I'll have a good fitment but we'll see soon enough.
Orion, I've been putting things on piece by piece, first it was the air vents, yesterday was the trim that holds the cigarette lighter (need some power for the GPS after all), and thats as far as I got so far. I'll be finishing all the back for sure though before I head out. I've also changed out my outer tie rods, wanted to change the front lower control arm joints too but won't have enough time to do that. I was also planning on redoing all the exhaust but since the parts came in late I can't do that anymore. I do have the header out right now though to do a few repairs/tweaks.
I'll be getting the EGT bungs welded on now as oppose to the band clamp deal that keeps on going loose. Also the O2 bung pipe will be cut out and rotated about 10 degrees upwards so thats its not the lowest point of the car anymore. Also all the shitty mig welded parts right after that will be cut off and properly tig welded with new 304 stainless tube. Lastly, the header flange welds have actually cracked on both pipes and will be patching those up. So ya thats taking up all my time tomorrow most likely (well morning wise atleast).
Friday should be the day that I'll be installing all the back stuff. Like this It will make the back half of the car complete atleast .
