CA Procuring a Nikki Carb Secondary Vacuum Diaphragm

Good afternoon folks,

Been having some fuel issues that I have no idea how to fix so I took my car to a mechanic. I've been told that the secondary diaphragm is punctured and the cause of my problems, but my mechanic hasn't been able to procure a replacement. My first couple calls around town were fruitless and I haven't been able to find one online.

Are they included in the generic carburetor repair kits? If so, is there a recommended brand or vendor for those?

Thanks in advance! I'm clueless with this kind of stuff...

You can buy the secondary diaphragm separately. I just bought two of 'em.

It's listed under 'Carburetor Governor Diaphram' in the catalog under the Fuel/Air section.

Interesting, that part didn't show up when I was looking through their 1984 section. Both years have identical equipment? If so, thanks very much! I'll get one ordered and hopefully my car will be back on the road soon.

There are some differences between the Nikki carbs over the years, but I don't think the secondary box is one of them. I'm pretty sure it'll fit.

Well I'm optimistic. Went ahead and ordered two since shipping is twice the price of the diaphragm anyway. Thanks for the response!
