First of all my Stud from beneath the ACV im wondering if you guys got some tips on how to get this stuck in stud out... Next question Ok so im gonna make a block off plate for where the ACV was but my problem is my gasket is stuck to the back of the Removed ACV i tryed prying it off but that just breaks chucks of the corner off any ideas on if theres a way for me to remove this so i dont have to guess the cutting of the sheet metal??? Thanks so much for your help its greatly appretiated!

stuck stud

If you don't have a stud puller, try putting to nuts back to back on the stud, tighten them against each other, and then grab the top one with a wrench, and try to remove it, this generally works. the stud will either back out, or break, with it backing out over 95% of the time, the other 5% oh well!

good luck

Ken

I believe he is using the gasket as a template to cut the metal. Either way though I wouldnt use the gasket as a gasket anymore.

hit the end of it with a hammer then put vice grip on it and make sure its on GOOD. Give her a twist and should come out. Thats how I got all mine out except one, which is still in the block.

lol not having the best luck today with the block off plate you know that stud? gave it a couple taps with a hammer then used the vice grips and sure enough broke it in half oh well what ever so anyways i start attaching my crappily made block off plate and one of the bolts breaks in half lol bad luck..... So now my block off plate is held by 1 bolt a put a ton of liquid gasket on the plate so it hopefully should hold... But anyways i have a couple more questions.... Theres a line thats still not hooked up im wondering if it should and to where its the Line coming from the passenger side near the firewall (closer to the firewall then the charcoil canister) sorry i dont know what its called it would make it alot easier... But anyways my next question is for the people who have removed there nests already... Did you take out all of the electrical lines that connected to the Nest? Thanks again for all your help

Ok i read more closely and figured out my question about that vacuum line now Im still just wondering about the electrical connections. Did you guys take out all the wiring except for the white a/c selenoid? Theres still lots of wires everywhere mostly from all the unhooked stuff lieing all over.... thanks for the help guys ill test it out on the road in a few hours when im sure the liquid gasket has hardened

Are you talking about the colored plugs? I just sort of tucked them away using the dizzy lines. NOt pretty, I know. My main concern is the damn AC (White) plug just sort of lies there. Looks very tacky.

Ya i was thinking of chipping off all the crappy 20 year old tape and take that wiring out to make it look better... Looks kinda lame with about 6 or 7 plugs just sitting there... Thanks
