I'm a big fan of electric car conversions, and the rx-7 takes well to it since it's lightweight and whatnot. All it takes to convince most people is seeing the torque produced by an electric motor. It really is quite impressive to watch these cars run at the strip. They tend to blow away most similar dollar cars.

well in the details it says it can be tuned to reach highway speeds. So probably max speed is around 70-80mph

Matt, thats funny, I bet the total weight of that car with the batteries is 3000lbs at least. Batteries tend to weigh 50lbs and those look very large.
