man I remember the days of having a 1st gen! I want one again but with a tII swap. Anyways I've had a couple gsl's and one gsl-se and all where very fun cars and very quick! The prelude is heavy!!!! I owned a 97 (4th gen) prelude and that thing while being very comfortable really really did suck! every time I drove it I wanted to be in my tII. I would say you would beat him but you would have to drive pretty hard, like whinned all those gears all the way up. A prelude is not that great, if it was then you would see them in more street races here and in japan. The simple fact is that they are so damn heavy that any hp it has is overshadowed by it.

Well if you read the narrative of the race I had against him, I shifted into 2nd and 3rd at 7500 rpm, and still lost. Of course I still think it was a factor that we didn't go up to at least 80-90 mph, so I could get the most out of 3rd gear.

Put that 12a on the dyno and tune the carb perfectly!

Can you do a rematch with your primaflow muffler removed? It'll really let the motor rev up fast. And scare the sheet outta people.

It's a power pulse, but no, I don't think so. I'd wake up the city!

I think we all need to head to the dragstrip. Race for beer. Are any of the dragstrips open to the public this time of year?

I'd like to see what my REPU does in the quarter

LACR = wednesday and friday nights. wednesday is better less ppl but anyday, traffic is a bitch.

Irwindale=1/8 mile.

CAspeedway=have to be there by noon to make 2 passes which starts about 4 pm. IMHO, not worth it.

Lets arrange it and I will take either the RX-3 or FB

Ok guys, so I saw the Prelude guy today again and looks like I made a mistake in my first post when I gave a link to a 1996 lude. He's got a 2001 Prelude HS, like the one being refered to on this link:

http://www.123review.com/reviews/hon...a_prelude.html

200 hp @ 7000 rpm, torque is 156 @ 5250, a little over 3000 lbs curb weight. "At maximum thrust, the little 2.2-liter engine propels the Prelude from 0 to 60 mph in about 7 seconds."
