Exclamation Power Windows Help

Hi Guys,
I have a 1981 series 2 RX-7, When I bought my car the power windows worked fine however just recently the pasenger window stoped working. It will not go down but the driver's side window still works. When I press the down button on the switch the car's dash voltmeter is not affected but when I press the up button I can see the meter go down.
Is this a problem with the switch or something else?
And what can I do about it because nothing is better than having both windows down and driving in my '7.
Thankyou very much for any help.

well id say take apart all the connections and clean em before putting them back together, see if that helps first.

Yep, clean the switches out and spray the window runners with silicone spray. Makes a huge difference and it helps keep the switches from burning out so you don't need to clean them as often.

be carefull taking the switches apart, i would do them only if greasing the window runners in the door and then seeing if that did the trick, i used wheel bearing grease on the runners, grease the places that are hard to reach, stick your arm up the door panels and feel around, i had to replace the window rubber guides to make mine work better (junk yard) and then put a light wieght oil on the ends that go inside the door part, made the windows work great with out opening the window switches,

Would this also be a solution to make your windows go up and down faster?
My GSL-SE driver window is sooooooooo slow going up and sometimes it stops before it get all the way shut. Passenger side is ok but a little slow also.

Yeah if the runners a re greased really good they will go up and down faster, also there is less drag on the motor and it wont be so hard on it.

I always just sprayed my switches out with WD-40...

See if you can get real electrical contact cleaner. Sometimes it can be found as Tuner cleaner for old TV's with rotary tuners. It also works well on those crackly stereo volume *****.
