i know i dont have a power steering pump, but how do i tell if i have a power steering rack? did 85 come with power steering as standard or a option? if i have a manual rack how hard would it be to change it to a power steering rack and get a pump?

It was an option, you need the entire rack, steering box, mounting bracket, lines, cooling loop and steering column.
