Power muffler

I've received a dealership for the Aeroturbine mufflers. I'll be testing one on Carmen to verify the claimed power gains.

One of the gains right off the bat is weight savings. The thing is basically a lightweight hollow pipe using temperature differentials to create a flow that cools and quiets the exhaust, instead of baffles and packed materials.

It's a nice throaty note on throttle, quiet when idling or coasting, and the manufacturer claims power comparable to a straight pipe. They normally retail for about $199 bucks but I plan to offer 'em for $179 as soon as I'm convinced they're rotorhead worthy.

Looks like ittl do the job well

Reduced Temperatures
Increased Horsepower
Increased Torque
Increased Fuel Economy
Less Engine Wear & Tear
Can't go wrong with that!

I appreciate the support

But let me be clear: They granted me a dealership but I'll be installing one or two on local rotary powered cars for field testing before offering them to you guys. Just as the cupholder/stereo bracket and vented hoods are taking a while to ensure best quality, I can think of no better method than having local rotorheads zip around town with these mufflers and providing honest feedback. This is so I can verify the performance and sound of the units in the real world without relying on the manufacturers claims.

Rotorhead.ca is not about making money off fellow enthusiasts but offering the best stuff for our cars.

Hell bro, I'll buy one off of you as a tester. My muffler sounds like a pissed off lawn mower.

The design looks like it offers a very high exhaust flow rate, and if it can do that while substantially cutting down the decibels on an open headered rotary and producing a nice tone then it ought to be a winner.

I am very interested since I am going to need exauhst within weeks to pass inspection, mine is about to fall off the car. Are you testing with RB header/silencer?

lol yea, when you test,.. it's gotta be all out. rb header, straight 2.25" or 2.5" to the muffler. no presilencer. really see what it can do. then people will know that's the worse it can be. hahaha

Might be interesting Maantis. I live in Montreal, Quebec and was considering a system from RB.

Do you have any idea if this will work properly with the header and silencer from RB? i.e. will the backpressure for the 5th and 6th ports work properly? What about with a stock cat?

Anyway, keep us updated. If you want to email me when your testing is complete, I would be interested in hearing the results before I decide what to get.

Thanks.

I plan on testing on Carmen with the RB header and presilencer. There's little to no restriction (according to the manufacturer, power output is analogous to a straight pipe while noise levels are more like a traditional muffler)

Need a turbo FB subject, I will volunteer My straight through muffler is loud as hell. I thought it would make a nice presilence the design anyhow. Looked at the pictures thats a bigboy to try to put anywhere else than next to the gas tank. What are the available inlet outlet diameters?

wonder if that will put out my flame????

The 2540i performance model has a 2.5" inlet and 4" outlet. I'm not wild on big tips like that, but what can ya do...

it is kinda pretty though

They also have it without the big tip 2.5 in 2.5 out sound like nice presilencer but that 6 inches is quite round. It was tight tring to get my 4 inch under there.

2.5 in and out

I would think with how it accelerates the gasses like a jet engine it will make the flames bigger, more confined like a jet's flame
