One more, don't let the good looks fool you. It's still a 23 year old car with a 80k boosted miles and is still pretty darn beatup. Door plastics are crackling, it's got vacuum leaks, driver side door lock hard to open, and what the picture doesn't show is that there are a lot of ants running up and down on this old beatup rotary.

I can smell that one all the way out here in Jefferson Mr. 12abridgeport.

You might want to think about selling it to me before those North Atlanta Environmental Police come to visit.

I'm sure your ants would get along with our ants out here in Jefferson.

Lol, believe it or not it's emissions ready. The PO has actually spent like $1500 to replace the cats...pricey.

But, just for the record. I'm still in love with my 12a car and am still trying to get it back on the road. Maybe very soon I could finally meet those ants in Jefferson.

Sweet. Is that just your normal exit off the highway or were you in a rally?

We made a rallycross course in a gravel pit adjacent to the freeway. Not the typical SCCA course as we were self insured. Loved the look of people on the freeway when you were gently passing them on the dirt next to them!

Also i promptly bent both Bilstein inserts in the front after about three times over than jump....

I was driving, came out of it just fine not even a sore neck. Car was totaled but I was able to save many of the good parts to build the new car which is way better than the old one would have ever been.

Ok you win for most beat up rotary.

So I heard the screech and then you started spinning. Did you do something or did a tire or
something else fail. I'm sure theres a story and a lesson here.

First and foremost I shouldn't have been trying to go flat in 4th through that corner in that car. Second if you are going to rack up a lot of hours endurance racing one of these cars you need to get some decent shocks and struts on them, the Monroe’s that were on the car were completely dead and when I hit just a little bump at high speed that was enough to send me around. On the new car I built to replace this one I put a lot of work into making Bilstein shocks and struts fit the car, it was probably the biggest improvement I made to the new car, now we can hang with anybody through The Snake at VIR which is hopping from right to left over big curbs. Finally I decided that I am better building these cars than I am at driving them, lately I have been able to come up with enough good fast consistent drivers that I have been just taking on the role of team captain and crew chief at the races.

It doesn't look very beat up, but i'm sure there are things that are wrong with it that we just can't tell from the pictures

Here is mine the way it is now, it has been on jackstands for longer than I'd like to admit. Stupid drum brakes

Going to start working on it again after I get to fix the fuel leak on the FD and replace ALL vacuum lines :smackshead:
