Possibly stupid question...

OK so I stripped my parts car (85 GS) and noticed while taking the rear end out that if I turn the wheel hub one way, the other side spins the opposite way. I would assume that this means that it is a limited slip differential. Only thing is, the GSL had this AND rear disc brakes. This one has drums. So now my question, is this possible? From all the searching and reading I have done it seems that only the GSL had the LSD and also had rear discs (I have 12A). I already understand the whole -SE thing, so please none of that. Only difference is THIS car came from europe (germany). SO, does anyone know if the european cars had a LSD in the GS models, or had drum LSD's? Any/all help appreciated. THANKS

If it spins the opposite direction, it means it doesn't have a limited slip. If they spin together, then it has a LSD. BTW, it was a factory option to have the LSD put into a GS. My GS has a LSD, though I'm pretty sure it was installed afterwards.
