Angry POS holley FPR and POS third gear...!!!!

That's it I'm thru with the POS Holley FPR I can't get to hold the pressure steady. Car runs perfect like a bat out of hell sometimes and all of the sudden fuel pressure changes and it runs like crap WTF!!!!
I must have gotten a defective unit or something. I have never had problems with holley FPR.

My other problem is my tranny finally third gave up...it's so hard to push in while RPMs at up there. It's really sucks! I lost 2 races because of it. The car is running awesome for being a stock port...it closely matches the performance of a mild streetport but with these problems I can't bear race anymore...

Peejay I need your help man...

Can you take a picture of your homemade cable engine brace? please post it up.
I'm switching trannies tomorrow and I'll get a Turbo II tranny soon but man I need your cable trick...

thanks!

That is pretty bad. How about you buy a new FPR. And if your changing your tranny tomorrow that'll solve all your probs.

Good luck.

PS. There's nothing like pointing out the obvious.

have you checked you fuel pressure before the regulator(even under load)? You are talking about the fuel pressure regulator right?

I had trouble with my thrid gear grinding when going into it - GM Syncromesh refill and now shifts as smooth as silk. Don't know if that's the problem you were having but thought I'd throw my $.02 in.

nah...this one is gone...I can still shift to third but not above 4k...so what's the point! I should have changed the fluid to redline a few months prior to slapping more power to the engine. It's fried for sure!

humm but GM synchromesh...sounds like a plan
