porting tool?

i have a heavy duty rotary tool that has a 5000 to 35000 rpm variable speed and a 120V, 1.2A 60Hz motor.....is this ok for porting or will i need an air powered die grinder? by the way....the rotary tool also comes with a flexible shaft and to me it seems to be going as fast as an air powered die grinder.

thanx,
Gufran

Air or electric,,,no matter. rotory bits,,you should get a couple that are tappered, one coarse, and a couple for finishing (ie) fine bits. wear safety glasses, always, and don't go crazy grinding ****, smooth and even and in the same direction.

A dremell ???It will take you forever with a small powered dremell. but to answer your question,,yes.
just grind down the shaft to fit, but your better off to use a 'real' 30.000 rpm air tools like this.
