porportioning valve?

Is there a way to test a portioning valve?

Don't know about testing but they come apart easy enough for inspection. Just don't bugger up the brake lines.

Any contamination or unusual wear on the mating surfaces. These are not generally a wear item and can be found easily at the wreckers of through a wtb. Just need to know if it's for drum or disc.

yea prop. valves almost never go bad.

So, if i wanted to switch to disc in the back, i would have to replace the valve?

you would'nt" have" to but it would'nt be a bad idea.
