pls help
so i just recently bought a rx7 12A engine and took it on a short drive around the neighborhood (between 5-10 miles) and while driving i found out there was no coolant in the engine and i think i might have blown the radiator while driving it and the engine wont start even when it is cooled (i turn the key and it tries to start but it just wont), what i want to know is how screwed am i, did i just destroy this car?
I don't think the radiator is blown, but without coolant, 5-10 miles could be enough to build excessive heat and possible partial seizure. You don't want to starve it from lubrication or overheat it. Does it turn over when you hit the starter?
With the plugs out, does it have good compression / pumping as it turns? Might want to turn it over by hand first and feel for any resistance or grinding/rough turning. There is a 19mm (3/4) nut on the main pulley to try and turn with.

What year is the car? Was the add coolant light not illuminated? Was the temp gauge not working? Sounds like it could be flooded with coolant. Start by pulling the spark plugs and inspecting them for coolant intrusion and let us know what you find.
to answer some questions the, year is 1984 and the warning lights don't work, all the dash tells me is speed and rpm, I went to check the car today and i can manually turn the main pulley and all the gears. when i turn the key everything turns and spins but i can not get ignition even if i use engine starter in the carburetor.
I'm going to look at it again and pull the spark plugs and see what i find, I'll tell you what i find ether later today or tomorrow, thanks for the help and any other advice you may have will be helpful thank you.
